What's the average pay of nurses with diploma? |
I am thinking of a career change from a sci lab tech to nursing. I presume the later provides a better opportunity in terms of career advancement and satisfaction. My current job is super routine with minimal interaction with people as well as zero opportunity of advancement. My colleague has been a lab tech for the past 35 years. I am thinking of persuing the accelerated diploma in nursing offered by nanyang polytechnic. However I am just curious about the pay scale of singapore nurses. And also I'm confused how the rank in the nursing industry is like. Currently one may become a Registered Nurse by either an two year Associates Degree or a 4 year BSN. If you already have an AD, then check out colleges in your area that offer a BSN, since you're halfway there. Diploma programs for those people with college credit or an AD are a waste of time since the credit you've already earned and paid for can be applied to a four year degree. I'm not sure what you mean by "rank" in the nursing profession (not yet an industry). Most new grads today are starting at any where from $26-30 an hour..depending on where you live, and are also getting sign-on bonuses of $5-10 grand. Summary: |
