We dislike our nurse. Does our baby have to see her when they're born?

The nurse in our UK GP surgery (gives us vaccines, does basic health checks) is nothing short of useless. My wife and I are both registered there and although we know that we can change, it would mean being assigned a new midwife, having to register ourselves with another GP and the potential that notes will get misplaced etc.

What treatments do a baby need and where are (or can) they be given - and by whom?

There is only one nurse at our GP practice

Unless the rules have changed you can refuse to be treated by her.....................why NOT wait until baby is here and then ALL of you change to another practice as I think unless there is another one in the office you can go to then you will end up with her..... BUT if there is another one in the office when you book you can INSIST that it is with the one you do want and NOT her..........had same problem with one of the docs and refused to see him ever and had it wrote into my notes................the jabs etc MUST be given at the right time and it usually is done within the docs office

tell the front head nurse the baby does not have to see the same one
