Which one makes the most money? Radiologist Technologist or Registered Nurses?

That depends on if you further youself in the radiology area. If you become and Rad Tech, but then go into Cat Scan, Ultrasound, or Special Procedures.. you often time make the same as an RN. At least that is what it's like in our hospital. There are so many options in healthcare.. think about Respiratory also.. they make about the same as an RN coming out of school.

RN can get up to 100K after a couple of years...........Don't know the other job.............

Radiologic Technologists earn an average of $49,320.

The average staff RN earns just under $60,000 per year. An RN who works for a medical staffing service, private surgical practice, or in NY, MA or CA can earn more.

These are vastly different roles. I'm not sure why you've selected them. But, if it's only about the money, consider this:

Radiologic technologists can increase their salaries by moving into nuclear medicine and becoming nuclear medicine technologists. Your average salary will increase to $69,083. You could earn as much as $84,000/year.

RNs can earn more by getting an advanced degree and advanced training in managing and diagnosing complex medical conditions, and thereby becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Nurse Practitioners earn an average of $74,812/year. In California, they earn an median salary of $80,000.

RNs can acquire advanced training in administering anesthesia. Nurse Anesthetists earn an average of $100,000/year.

Finally, if you go for the gusto and become a radiologist, you could earn an average of $330,100/year.

An RN can expect to out earn a radiologist but an RN also will spend a lot more for education. An RN - especially one in a supervisory role - can earn more than 6 figures easily. A radiologist is a less complex job and as such will require less education and therefore will earn less over time. An RN is expected to know a variety of medical issues and be able to use his or her own good judgment in treating a patient - a radiologist performs a limited number of procedures - the rules for which are clearly defined and has no responsibility for patient care. Some highly educated and top nurses are now Nurse Practitioners which, in many instances, are regarded the same as doctors - they can write prescriptions, order tests and such. So, for the better career - do nursing.
