Is it true that there are many fake registered nurses from the philippines now working in the US?

In order to work in the U.S., they have to have the education and pass the U.S. registry tests. If anyone is hiring them as RNs without them having valid U.S. certifications, then they are breaking the law, not to mention just plain stupid.

As just an EMT, I can't even work in another STATE without getting certified there. In some cases that means I would have to start all over again!

Probably not true.

Hospitals can and often do get sued by unhappy patients and their relatives. And if there is something wrong with their paperwork or the paperwork of their employees, then the hospital may loose the lawsuits and end up paying millions of dollars in damages to patients and their relatives.

But a lot of properly registered nurses from the Philippines probably are working in US hospitals due to the shortage of US trained nurses.
