Who hires or employs registered nurses?

Who hires or employs registered nurses?

Hospitals. Nursing homes. "Urgent care" centers. Individual Doctors (some of them.) Group clinics (several physicians owning a common practice.) Hospice agencies. Home health care agencies. Air ambulance ("medevac") services. Very VERY wealthy elderly people (though they usually go through home health care nowadays.) Sometimes independent foundations conducting medical research activities need RNs. Schools.

Salaries vary greatly depending on what type of Nurse you want to be.

I'm sure that I'm missing some here, but those would be the major employers.

Good luck, if you're looking at employment as an RN!
