How much does a register nurse get paid a year?

How much does a register nurse get paid a year?

Registered Nurses are just like other people. What they make per year depends on who they work for, the area they work in, the number of years experience they have, the shifts they choose, and the number of hours they choose to work.

Private practice and Doctor's offices usually pay more than hospitals do, ER and specialty nursing pays the highest in hospital environments. Home health pays quite a bit less, and nursing/rehab pays less than that, on the average... at least, from the nurses I know.

That depends on where they are working and which shift they are on. 3rd shift will be more etc.
Nurses are in great demand right now and many hospitals are offering hiring bonuses etc.
If you are a specialized RN you will also get more... IE pediatric, surgical, trauma etc.
Some hospitals are paying $35-36 an hour...

It would surely depend on several things. (i.e. -type of facility, area of the country length of employment, overtime) They make a pretty good wage, but they earn every penny. It takes a special person to make a good nurse. Good luck!

depends on what state you live in.

in what country?? i was told around $20/hour

Anywhere between $28-$32. an hour. Depending on what specialty field their in.
