How much do registered nurses make in phoenix, arizona? |
ICU experience. So looking for in-hospital pay scales. please don't give me the link to payscale.com or any other pay estimator sites. I'm really looking for a $/hour breakdown, not yearly, info on hiring bonuses and shift diff for nights and weekends would also be the disirable to include as well. Thank you. we have 2 years experience, actually the you get overtime for the last 4 hours of your shift things is kind of a nursing urban legend, one place that I looked at told me I could chose to make the overtime for the last 4 hours or could chose the adjusted rate which was more, every other place offered around what that place's adjusted rate was, so I actually don't get overtime everyday I work and neither does my wife who works at another hospital. Honestly it really doesn't matter your going to a ton with an RN degree. I know of a lot of nurses that make about 45/hr. My wife works for Banner Health Systems and loves it. They have treated her very well and are very understand with her schedule. Now it depends on what your needs are do you need insurance, is a flexible schedule important, and if you work night I believe you make 10 if 15 more an hour and maybe and extra 5-10 on weekends. When we moved down to PHX I believe there was a 1500 sign bonus and you can even ask about some help with your moving expense. The demand might be a little down now compared to late fall when all the snow birds get here and the census sky rockets you can almost name your price at that time. Depending on your experience, etc. and type of work, you can expect anywhere from a low of $20 to a high of $60. Without anynore info, it's hard to tell. One thing to remember about working 12 hour shifts in Arizona is that you WON'T get overtime for the last 4 hours. If you're coming from California (you didn't say) you would be used to receiving that amount of overtime pay. In Arizona, you won't get that. On the other hand, even though your per-hour wages would be pretty comparible with California's, your money would go farther towards housing here. (So, if you want to buy a house, you'll come out ahead here...even without the 4-hours of overtime money.) I haven't met one nurse who makes over $38 from the Banner network... check out salary.com |
