Do registered nurses in mental health get much money?how may hours do they work in a day?what do they do?

most importantly, what do they do?

The pay depends upon qualifications and experience. You have to start at the bottom and work your way up.
Nurses in the NHS work a basic 37.5 hours a week, but take it from me, you do a lot of unpaid overtime. If you're in the middle of something important you can't just get up and leave because it's home time.
What do they do?
Look at this for an idea:

not enough, too many,go beyond the call of duty

I don't know, but inquire it to NHS.

Not enough. Too many. Hope you never personally need to know (unless you want to BE one)

i have experience regarding being a patient unfortunately ,within a mental health ward and believe me they seem to sit around reading taking it easy most of the time, however there are moments when they must get stressed with some of the patients, but lets say they get it easier than a bouncer in a nightclub.in my experience they sat around then went round with a clipboard occasionally to tick a check that the patient was still there, most show no interest in your wellbeing and good nurses are really well needed within this service.

I'm not sure about RN's but LPN's usually make $16 - $21 an hour and usually their job descriptions are very similar. A standard mental health facility hires LPN's to keep track of a patients chart, they oversee CNA's, insert catheters, some LPN's pass meds, change bandages, preform CPR if needed, comfort patients family, work with doctor's for patients care plan. Their is more paper work then anything else.

Depending on the facility you work for they have 3 rotating shifts, with an 8 hour work day, a 1/2 hour lunch, and 2 15 minute breaks. It averages around 40 hrs a week. Some places haves just 2 rotating shifts that stay 12 hrs, with a 30 hr lunch, and 3 15 minute breaks. The plus in this one is you usually only have to work 3 days a week to earn a nice check. Anything over 40 hrs a week is over time, and pays time and 1/2. So if you earn 1 hr overtime and make $18 an hr, you actually made $27 an hr. I hope this helps. Good Luck
