How much do registered nurses make a year? depends on where you live, what are you work in and how long you've been a nurse. depends where you live and what area of nursing they work but typically 50K/yr Registered nurses typically start off out of school at 45-48K a year. The longer you are a nurse and the more experience you get, the more you make. In Australia 1st year nurses start on around $45,000. Every year of full time work completed your wage increases all the way up to you 8th year of nursing which is around $65,000. There is always the option to specialise into other fields or become a manager/educator/practitioner etc where you have the opportunity to earn more. There are also bonuses such as penalty rates which are plentiful in the nursing profession. Plenty of tax deductions too... |
