Is Registered Nursing a stressful job?

Is Registered Nursing a stressful job?

Depends on where you work...

There are many different types of jobs for RN's. Many of them are quite stressful.

I am not in the medical field. I do know several people who are and I have read that the nursing field has one of the highest stress / burn out rates in the nation.
Arrogant and pompous doctors, sick and dying patients, and uncaring employers take a toll. Nurses go home emotionally drained and then have to find in themselves the ability to nurture their families.
They deserve twice the pay the doctors get in my humble opinion.

speaking from experience it all depends on where you work, to work in a hospital is more stressful than anything else
