Registered Nurses or Waitreses who makes more money? |
My gf thinks waitresses make more or as much money as R. Nurses. Is she off her rocker? I think so but I need help seeing the other points of view. For instance she thinks that if you go to the restaurant and spend $100.00 she's taxed on that as opposed to only her tip which may be $5/$10 or $20 dollars. Can some waiters/waitresses out there clear this up for me? I think there may be times when waitresses make more money (like weekend nights) but otherwise, nurses definitely make more money and have more stable pay than waitresses. Waitresses have to depend on their tips, while most nurses get paid a decent hourly wage, sometimes salaried pay. Registered Nurse, my ex was one. She Started out at $50,000. I think after a yr or two she is now clearing $60,000+. It just depends on whare you work.If you worked at a Bar yes you would make more money, but if you worked at a Family restarant no you wouldent.I worked as a Waitress for a long time and I made better money than mu husband and he is a construction worker. At most bars I made over $100 in tips a night.Plus my hourly wages. Think about this a waitress in a very good restaurant can make between $200-$300 a night a nurse at the top of her field can make 4 times that. Agency nurse 10 years ago made around $50 an hour. waitresses can maybe top that on a very busy night. Head Nurses - they make more than any other nurses. Nurse works harder, has to keep updated on procedures, hospital professionalism, has to pass boards, go to school, keep regular hours, and of course the level of nursing increases with the responsibility of life. Intensive care, emergency, cardiac, etc. |
