What is it like being a nurse?

Will someone tell me what it is like to be a registered nurse? Good things, bad, daily responsibilties, etc.

My brother a registered nurse. He like his job. It is one of the top field as far as the number of new jobs amoung all occupations. Job opportunities in most specialties and employment settings are excellent, with employers have difficulty attracting and retaining enough RNs.

Because of this, my brother is well paid, get to pick his own schelude, and is very much appreciated by his employer. His personality is such many of the patients like him as well.

The one thing that I dislike about his job, which does not seem to phase him is caring for people who are terminal ill or who are seriously injured and have no chance of recovery. This would be hard for me to do. I think I would get very depressed.

Well not really. I am an RN and i wipe the odd bum but many hospitals do use nurses aides because they are cheaper and its more efficient. You don't need a three year university degree...
