Is it true that it takes 5 years to become a registered nurse?

In England it takes three years, through either the advanced diploma or degree route.

No
In my area there is a state college that has offers an associates degree in 2 years,, or bachelors in 4 years. This is if you are smart, don't have to take any tard classes,, and can take a full college load of classes. Graduates start here in mid 30's with the 2 yr degree.

No. After the high school diploma, you can become a registered nurse in less time if you don't also try for a bachelor's degree. Just go to a tech school.

you can get an associates degree work in the field for a couple years and go to a bsn program which will give life credits and get you bsn in abut 18 months-2years or go the full four and specialize in a field

no. you can get a bachelor's degree in 4 yrs. that is if you are a full time student and didnt fail any subjects.
