How long long does it take to be a registered nurse?

How long long does it take to be a registered nurse?

Yes, it depends on the country where you live.

The duration of Nursing programmes differ based on degree or diploma level nursing.
In Australia, it is three years degree programme.
In UK, the duration of three years for both degree and diploma programmes.
In India, the duration of three years for the Diploma nursing programme and four years for the Degree programme.

However, you can not be a registered nurse until ,you gain your registration or Pin number from the concerned nursing council or board. Normally, it takes two to four weeks to gain the registration number after, you have applied for it.
Hope, this helps,
Regards,

In Australia, a 3 year university degree. Not sure where you live though

2 years for an associates degree in the US.

In Oregon, with all of the prerequisites and an associates degree in nursing, assuming you get into all of the classes you need and get accepted into the program the first year that you are ready to apply....I'd say altogether about 4 years.
