RN

Sometimes when you become a Registered Nurse the hiring hospital will offer you a sign on bonus. I am not so sure about Dental Lab Technicians. I think RN would be more rewarding for you. Good luck!

good luck becoming an RN, the system is corrupt

they would rather pay less qualified nurses than RN's

There is such a shortage of them, yet it is so difficult to become one.

do you want to make 9-10 hour as a lab tech or 40-50k/year as a RN?

Registered Nurses are professionals, requiring up to 4 years of rigorous training. They are in HIGH demand because shift work is hard on families, stress level is high, pecking order (from doctors on down) is tuff, etc.

Dental Technicians are at most 6 mos at a training academy or on the job training.

Which do YOU think makes more money? : - )

Be an RN. It is a lot of hard work, but in my country you get rewarded in proportion to what you put in to it. Not only do you make money but you also grow in your sense of humanity as you serve those who are in need. It is challenging intellectually, monetarily, professionally and even spiritually for we can learn the heart and mind of Jesus who healed the sick and lame. A full time RN in the USA would make about $50,000 + per year.

When I went to nursing school, there was this program called Dental Hygienist. I was really surprised to find out they make as much or a little more than a Registered Nurse. This college was in San Diego.

Google dental hygienist. The college that offered it was San Diego City College. It was an Associate's Degree.

I would choose RN (I'm one). You can continue to switch specialties when you get bored of the current one. There are too many things to choose from when you are a nurse.

Good luck.

Nursing is stressful hard work. I don't enjoy it but it pays great.

RN..it is a much better job
