Are there any travel nurses out there? I am a Registered Nurse, and am serious about trying travel nursing.?

I would like to hear from those with experience who can explain some pros and cons, etc. Are agencies trustworthy? Also, can I get a state-wide professional license? At this time I hold only an Illinois license.

Any info. will be greatly appreciated!
God Bless,
Jacki

I was a traveling physical therapist for awhile.... great times! Even if you are in a not-so-desirable location, hey it is only for 3 months. My best friend was a traveling nurse for about 6 years and loved it too (she finally stopped when she bought a house). I think she had to get a license in each state where she worked. If you are leery about traveling, sign up with a company and take an assignment in Illinois... I think you have to be assigned at least 50 miles away from your home. Good luck.
