Hospital action for a registered nurse accused of false documentation is it immed. termination?

If she is only ACCUSED of false documentation...noting. If it is proven, it would depend on her work history (have there been other incidents?) and hospital policy. If the hospital is sued because of it, she could be held liable. If it is her first discipline problem, she would be "counselled." If it is her third, she would probably be fired.

NO! At the most, she or he would get a reprimand, even if the false documentation resulted in injury or death to the patient.

Immediate termination should be the action taken. We are dealing with people's lives and the cost of law suits.
