Becoming An Successful RN(registered nurse)? |
When I grow up I want 2 become and RN,and my grades are not looking 2 good right now,Every subject needs works including my electives.I simply strive for the best, but lately i've been occupied with otha things and not my work. What can I do 2 improve in all my classes and if anyone knows what is the grade point average a person should have that's interested in the medical field in high skool , pleaz leave me a message or contact me immediately,by the way im a freshmen in high skool! If you plan on being successful as a registered nurse the first thing you need to do is get serious about your school work. Kids who don't do well in high school tend to not do well at the college level, regardless of the major. Instead of slanging out what you want to say, try improving on you typing skills. Then you can say what you want quickly and sound intelligent at the same time. Nursing school requires good math skills and the ability to memorize large volumes of information. You'll even be expected to continue your education throughout your nursing career. It's hard work and a serious business. You may as well get used to it now. good thing you clarified the grammar issue Ill bet it took you twice as long to write the slang as the real words. like any other university course, the RN course needs high marks, so buckle down and get your marks up to as close to perfect as possible, especially in maths, bio and chem You can get you Associates Degree in Nursing at your local community college and your grade point average in high school wont really matter. You will have to keep a 2.0 average while in the program. There is an entrance exam you will have to take, but to be honest what you did in high school wont matter. There is hope for you yet dear, i didn't get real good grades in school but did college and yes am a RN it just takes alot of dedication. Wouldn't say I am the best but i get the job done and try to be the best i can and thats all you can do. I think its great you want to be a nurse but take it from a 35yr old veteran.....its not a fun job anymore......very difficult job and very stessful! |
