Can you become a registered nurse if you have a misdemeanor criminal record? |
Can you become a registered nurse if you have a misdemeanor criminal record? Tiger Eyes is dumb. You can get into school, but the hard part will be getting licensed. You have to claim your criminal record. The problem is, the record was issued by the state, and the license is issued by the state, so you broke their rules, and now they want you to follow their rules. its going to be hard. you probably can't. You will probably have a hard time getting accepted into a Nursing school. Misdemeanors - I believe you SHOULD be able to. But if I were you - I wouldnt even list them. If theyre going to do a background check - let them take the initiative to find out - if they do and its OK, no harm done - if its not OK, at least you didnt just hand the info over to them. Sometimes they dont check, and if they do they only check for felonious crime. Depends - most people/companies dont really look up a whole lot of information. Id have a lot of credible references included to distract. You can, but it won't be as easy. It will also depend on the charge. As an employer, I might hire someone who had a minor charge in their youth, but not someone convicted of battery, distribution, etc. Oh sure. You can be presedent with a misdemeanor! |
