What is it like to be a Registered Nurse?

Is nursing a stressful job? do u have to work night shifts as well and how many hours is a normal work day for a RN? What kinds of things do nurses do? are they always working with blood etc?

Could someone please clarify these things, because I'm thinking of becoming one. Thanks! :)

Being a RN can be stressful. You can work any shift you want to and no they don't always work with blood. They do a lot of charting in patients books and they have to follow doctors orders. Depending on if you work in a hospital or nursing home or whatever your in charge and you have to make sure the other employees are doing there job. Good luck.

My wife is an RN, as well as many of her friends. They stick together and you'll probably never find a more caring group of people anywhere else.

Nurses are angels with invisible wings.
