I am a registered nurse in health care facility what precautions should i take while i am pregnant?

There are few tips that I could give you. However, it widely differs from hospital to hospital and I would suggest you to contact occupational health department for further advise.
1. As Ash W mentioned earlier, do not engage yourself in activities such as lifting or pulling or moving heavy objects and heavy patients. You should ask your employer for appropriate equipments to undertake certain jobs and try attract people to give you a hand when necessary.
Using hoist, slings, padslides and sliding sheets is necessary and do not use those if you are uncertain how to use it. Seek help from others.
2. Your charge-nurse may assign you to a "light" patient or get extra support when you are in need.(It may not always work! Everyday is different and be prepared to face a worst day too!)
3. Make sure that you do not prepare any cytotoxic drugs when are pregnant. Contact Pharmacy to get further information.
4. You can not look after a client with an air borne disease.
5. Be cautious while looking after an abusive/aggressive client and family. Keep a distance. Your colleague or the charge-nurse should help you in this situation.
6. Make sure that you do not miss your breaks.
7. Take adequate fluids and plenty of fruits when you are at work. Small frequent bites are useful.
8. If you can not finish your shift for any reason, never hesitste to speak to your charge nurse. They can not refuse your request.
9. Maintain a distance when a X- ray goes on.
10. Use standard precaution where necessary.
11. Prioristise your care that will save your walk and energy.
Hope, this helps.

Don't do any lifting

Don't deal with any patients that are agressive

Always adhead to hygine practices

Aviod working with patients who have air - born infections

If you are an RN, then you should know this already.

EMT

I would ask the professionals in the health care facility where you work, if as a registered nurse, you don't already know the answer. I'm just a layman, but the answer to your question is SO obvious.
