Would you as a White Registered Nurse join a white nurses association?

I work as a Registered Nurse,and I have observed that there are several Black Nurses associations in my region of my state. I am confused as to why there arn't any white nurses associations as we to have concerns and issues.

I am serious about starting a White nurses association for networking,etc. Please let me have your thoughts on this .

Any black club, group, organization, business etc is pc and socially acceptable. But if it was white then it's racist. One day people may wake up to this pc/racist nonsense.

White nurses and black nurses

this is not the olden years.................... who cares what colour of skin they have as long as they get the job done.

i hate all that racist crap, it really makes me feel angry that in this day and age people have nothing better to do that talk about the colour of ur skin

why would you want to stoop to a level that you don't have respect for..is it just to prove a point? why did black nurses feel the need to have there own associations in the first place...was it because you white christian texans have always been so warm and cuddly to your darker countrymen?

You can start any group you want.
There are nursing associations for men, hispanic, black, and disabled nurses.
These groups work to promote progress and equality in the profession.
You can call it what ever you like and set your rules for exceptance.
I doubt if many whites would want to belong to it because of fear of being considered a racist. Kind of a double standard, don't you think.

Providing they are not hurting anyone then I don't think it is worth worrying about. If people want to separate themselves from mainstream society then let them. Some of them have good reason to. Some of them are nutty. Some of them fall somewhere between these two extremes.

There are organizations for people of certain ethnic groups mainly because of history.

But with or without that history there is nothing wrong with it. There are many groups formed because they hold a common bond for the people attending.

In this case one of the reasons must be because they are in the minority. It would be very hard to talk about the specific issues they face without them.

White organizations are already around. Some may not had been designed to be white only but nevertheless they have exclusively white members. There are milllions of them.

Before you start your organisaton ask yourself why is it needed.

Just remember it was whites who invented the colour regime in the first place.

i thought most associations were mostly white anyway with not as many other races in there. Gyms come to mind. Most gyms have more men so they create womens only gyms for women to cater to their special needs. I suppose being a racial minority would mean you have unique challenges that the rest of the white population dont have, in much the same way as women feel they face more challenges than men.

why do you only want to network w/ other white people? you can't just join a nurse's association and network w/ all nurses?
