Aged care and registered nurse whats the difference? |
i went into a aged care facility and they showed me what they do i didnt like it. i want to be a registered nurse is it the same as aged care Well, there are many many different facets to nursing. There are so many types of jobs an RN can do, I can't begin to list them. This is the reason that I am going to school to be an RN-- I want to make a difference in people's lives, but also there are so many different types of jobs. If I get tired of something I am doing, I can switch into something totally different. If you become an RN, you can choose to work with the elderly or you may choose to work in a hospital, Dr.s office, health clinic school nurse and on and on I am not really familiar with "aged care facilities". I would assume that is like a residential care facility or a nursing home. If so the two are not even really related except that is an option for a place of employment for a registered nurse. As a registered nurse the possibilities for employment are pretty much endless. There are so many avenues that you could choose however you do have to have a general desire to work with and help people. And the schooling for a registered nurse is pretty intense. |
