Registered Nurse? Do they get paid well?

What do you guys think about the wages reflecting supply and demand in Registered Nurse field?? Do you guys think they get paid enough for what they do??

I'm not sure where you live, but in Louisiana they are currently very high in demand. At my university, it's the number one program when it comes to the amount of graduates. They may not be paid as much as attorney's or doctors but they have it a lot better than LPNs and they get paid very well. I have an aunt who is a RN and she just built a beautiful brick two story home. Her husband is able to stay home with their three kids, and in less than ten years she has gone from entry level to the head nurse on the newborn ward and pretty much names her hours.

I DONT THINK THEY GET PAID ENOUGH. THEY GET PAID LESS THEN TEACHERS, WHO ALSO GET PAID TOO LITTLE.

um.. the first guy has no idea what he is talking about. RNs are in very high demand right now and get paid a lot of money!!! Look at any hospital website; they are constantly hiring nurses. It's a rewarding job with lots of room to move up in the field and to specialize. I highly recommend it.

absolutely not!! i know nurses who are on call 24/7, they have more work then doctors and they get paid less.

I think it depends where you live when it comes to that question. I think there are a lot of health professionals who don't get paid enough.

I have a friend that is an RN. She gets paid weekly. :>)

In the state of Conncticut there is a nursing shortage therefore RNs are in demand and they get paid anywhere from $25.00 -$45.00 an hour depending on experience.

The best. They will never be unemployed unless they do not want to be. You can go anywhere and get a job. If you are good enough, promotions are great. Yea, nursing is good.

Um To answer ur question registered nurses do get paid FARELY well :]
