Im going into nursing, but im not good at the whole science thing.?

Hey,
Im planning on going into nursing i kinda want a nurse to answer my question. Im not the best at science but im no stranger to hard work. Next year in my senior year of highschool. And im going to take chemistry. My biggest fear of highschool has always been sciece. I dont know how i talked myself into being a nurse. Is nursing that hard, what should i do. Should i continue prepareing to be a nurse, or should i go to be a lawyer or somthing?

I have been a nurse for approx. 1.5 years. So I'm not that far away from school that I don't remember and I know I few things about the game of nursing. Nursing is all about thinking critically and being able to put the pieces of the puzzle together. The state test you take to become a registered nurse examines how well you can think critically not gram (+) bacteria or what is the chemical make up carbon. There is an extreme amount of science during the early years preparing to go into nursing school. Once you have been accepted into an actual nursing school and nursing program, you will find that the classes are totally different than anything you (or any non-nurses) have every taken. It's all about hardwork, organization, and common sense. If you are committed to wanting to be a nurse then you can definetly do it. People will help you along the way to learn the things you need to learn. I'm horrible at math, but I'm a great nurse.

First, get better at spelling. Second, try some other job, because a RN has to know biology, math, and many skills to be performed quickly. Better talk to a few and see what they had to go through. And I don't mean a CNA, I mean an RN-CCN-TNS.

Well i am studying nursing atm. and i cannot stress enough on the importance of science subjects. The three main ones you'll be dealing with is Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. It probably be very difficult to do well in nursing without those background subjects. But if you are willing to work extra hard in uni then go for it, there's some people doing nursing even though they haven't been to school for almost 15 years. It's depends on your determination. Make sure you love nursing before going for it. Honestly Nursing isn't for everybody plenty of people come out hating it. Good Luck
