What career???

hi i'm exploring health careers and need major help!!!
I wanted to be a pediatrician but found out how long you have to study,how har you need to wor etc.then changed to nursing with masters,even though i'm still wondering careers in between the two
i would like to earn around 45,000-90,000
take less than 6 years of study...
work with children or pregnat women...help?!?!

nursing is the way to go!
to be a pediatrician or any other type of doctor you have to go through more than 12 years of schooling so if you dont want that then go to rn shcool

idk but good luck

I wish i could earn that much in a year i would travel the world.

This is a great question. The best thing that you can do is look into the careers in health that are on the rise - so that you know that it'll be lucrative for you. I recently went through this exact process as you are doing now.

The two quickest careers that you can get yourself into in the health care field right now are: Regulated (certified) pharmacy technician. It's a growing field, yet the demand for them is huge since the population is growing rapidly, and the rate of pharmacists being turned out is very slim. Pharmacy Technicians can work in pharmacies, hospitals - preparing medications for the patients - or even in research. You can take the course at a lot of community colleges for under 2 years. They are a regulated allied health proffession - so there is great pay with those who are certified. Secondly - Respiratory Therapist - this program can run for about 3 years, but the demand for them is HUGE right now and will continue to be. Simply because the population is growing, but also with things like polution and increased rates of asthma, there's a lot of need. As a RT you can make some really good money, upwards of 70-80,000. You would work along side doctors to help diagnose and treat patients like newborns, elderly etc.

Hope that helps!

I would choose with becoming a pediatrician. Even though you would have to work harder and longer I think that it will make up for it all because you will probably make $45,000-90,000. And it seems more fun.

It's really your choice.

Good luck!!!!!

Here are after two-year course of study occupations which start around $45,000 per year:

1. Legal Secretaries;
2. Word Processors/document specialists;
3. Paralegals [w/certificates]
4. Plumbers with 2-years of trade school;
5. Police officers [with only high school diploma]

Good luck!
