Is anyone on here a nurse? |
I'm going to be a nurse when I get older, and I can NOT wait! Here's a couple questions. Was...went from LPN to RN to PA... good luck Report It I'am not a nurse YET. But I'am in college studying to be one. oh dear, a "fear" of any body fluid is a problem in this field. The field is so wide ranging that your question is impossible to answer...mostly pays well, can be exciting (or frightening,) depends on your idea of fun. I know other nurses that puke when the patient does, just gotta hit the container. My twin sister is currently in school at U of M to be a nurse and she loves it. She loves everything she is doing now--right now she is working on the surgical floor, but previously was working with premature babies. In terms of naming everything a nurse does, I know for a fact that that list would go on forever. Nurses administer medications, take blood pressure, etc, but also are important for supplying the patient with emotional support. In terms of your hatred of puke, the thing is that if you go to a good nursing school they will get rid of a that fear quickly. You come face to face with everything, so you get use to it--she hates that kind of thing to, but you truly get used to it. Lastly, nurses tend to get paid very well because, as of now, there is a lack of avaliable, educated nurses. Hoped this helped. I'm not a nurse, but I work in Radiology. But from everything Ive seen from nurses here, is it fun they say it is at first. Hard to study, some nurses I know said the hardest part was the two years of clinical, your life becomes school. Nurses do it all, from changing patients(Even though they have CNA's) to passing meds, to talking with Dr's. Does it pay well, YES. All nurses I know are very happy with their pay. The most exiting thing to do as a nurse is either a trauma center type hospital, or a nurse that goes on helicopters.(sorry I forgot their tittle) |
