What does it really mean when a guy says....?

i met this guy who i fell for right off the bat and swept me right off my feet. we have so much in common and never argue about anything. we could honestly talk about anything with one another and going on a day w/o talking to him is weird. he makes me smile and is truly everything i have ever wanted in a guy. 2 weeks ago he decided right now his life is really stressful (he is studying to become a nurse) and we need to take a break. he said he does not want to just be friends bc he likes me much more then that but he does not want to go back and be serious like we were before. He still calls me and says we can hang out just said he needs time to figure things out. he also said he doesnt want to be with any other girls but will understand if i cant wait and want to hang out with other guys. i told him if he does not like me to not feel obligated to stay with me but he said he would be lieing if he said he didnt want to be with me. what does this really mean bc im really confused!

From the sound of it... He wants to be with you, and cares about you, but because he is so busy with school, he doesn't feel he has the time to dedicate to a serious relationship, meaning that while he wants one with you, he knows that because of school he can't put 100% into it, and doesn't feel like it's fair to make you wait for him. By not tying you down, but by staying in contact, he hopes that when things settle down, you will still feel the same. Hope that makes sense.

Sounds like he's pretty confused as well.

Give him sometime to get the hectic schedule or school in control. If he changes his tune soon and asks you out, calls you etc. That's a great sign.

If you don't hear from him, he never calls, etc, he was trying to break it off "nicely"

Being a nurse aint no joke, i should know I have a bunch of
friends who were studying to become nurses & I never saw
or heard from them in 2-3 years.

He likes you, just that he is prioritizing his career right now
and he doesn't wanna risk losing you. He's in a very difficult
situation right now, and if you are willing to either wait for him
to get done with his studies, or be his official girlfriend but
he won't be able to perform the usual boyfriend duties, more
power to you.

hes probably met someone else that he likes and wants to c if the other one will go somewhere..for god sakes his studying to be a nurse not a doctor it cant be that hard....he wants u as a booty call girl...Move on any guy that tells u they need time they are not worth ur time....peace!!!

If he's willing to wait for you (by not going out with any other girls). Then he sounds like he REALLY likes you. Plus he seems really honest too!

He's trying to let you go in a nice way without hurting you. He maybe focused on his school and thinks that if your relationship gets complicated, he won't do good in his school. If he really liked you, he would not tell you to hang with other guys. He needs space. A lot of Studying and then you....some people just need to focus on one thing.

and its really hard to give advice when the problem even confuses the advice giver.

i dont really know what to say.

when a guy that says he wants to take a break and he might say something like you the only girl for me. then he could be talking to another when your not around he could have something hiding from you and he don't want you to find out. the reason his life is stress full is because he either has a girl friend a baby etc..

he still loves you like a gf, but he just couldn't take the demands of being your bf. i'm not saying you're demanding. it's just that, in a romantic relationship, there is a need for commitment and making sure your partner is treated well, with respect and dignity.

since he has a hard time studying, he's afraid that he can't meet those standards. so he's telling you that you guys should take a break, so that you won't expect so much from him anymore. he loves you just as much. he just, like you said, can't be as serious and affectionate on the outside for now. if you really like him, then wait for him. :D

be careful he could be spending the time with another girl.
