Why do girls see me as friend materal only?

so i'm studying to be a nurse, as a male student i am surrounded by girls! however the ones i talk to all think i am quite funny, and i end up in the friend zone which is where i stay! PLEASE HELP!

oh and by the way, they all know that i am not gay. before i get anymore answers along those lines! :P

There is no logical answer to this question. The thin line between friendship and courtship with women is a total mystery, even to women.

Many women have a shopping list of traits that they want in a man for a serious relationship. Yet most women end up in relationships with men who have few, if any, of the traits on their own list.

The best you can do is be yourself and do nothing to put on airs or deceive. I can tell you, however, that if you act like her brother or father, you will be treated differently than if you act like a grown man with a possible interest in her.

"Funny" shows you're just like the class clown to them. Try letting them see that you're also deep and you are a great guy with lots of generousity and kindness! Then maybe they will look at you in a different way. Good luck! (:
