Does your thyroid effect the outcome of a pregnancy test?

I have had three missied period along with spotting (since March). i have also noticied pregnancy signs, such has morning sickness, being sleepy all the time, i also had a friend of my who is studying to be a nurse check for a baby's heart beat she says she hears something, but everytime i go for a pregnancy test or a blood test they come out negative.

Thyroid function effects all body systems. Having low thyroid function will not support pregnancy. Go see an endocrinologist for the most accurate thyroid function results. Yes, you're friend probably hears something, but there are many possibilities: bowel sounds, your own heart beat, etc. You should see an OB/GYN, also.

My pregnancy did not show up until the 3rd blood test...and I'm 12 weeks. Blood tests are not 100% accurate, as I've learned! Just relax...if your cycle still hasn't come keep making them retest you everytime they do any testing.
