Studying to be a nurse - what language other than English is most helpful/best to learn??

I live in ohio but would like to work somewher else - maybe WY or CO

In my nursing career I have found that Spanish is very helpful!! Good Luck in nursing!!

Spanish

1.Spanish
2. french
3. german

those r the 3 main ones. i'd go with spanish first

In the US Spanish & Korean are the top two. Followed by Chinese & Japanese. Some French might do you some good. And of course Latin.

It depends on where you live. And where you want to get a job.

Spanish is the best and most common in the states. It all depends on where you live too. If you leave near populated Latino areas then it likely you'll get more Latino patients.

If you come to my beautiful country of WALES,welsh would be appropriate.

Spanish

spanish------
go for it.......
will add 50% to your salary

In case you haven't noticed, we now live in the United States of Mexico and other latin/hispanic countries.

Try spanish.

I think Spanish would be the most useful language to know.

The two states you mentioned, WY and CO are having more and more Hispanic people settling down, so yes, Spanish would be very helpful. It's also probably one of the easiest language to find being taught in a school, too.
Other languages... French, if you end up near the Canadian border (Quebec province part at least).
Chinise is becoming an up and coming language on the West Coast, in large cities, too... Not to mention Korean or Japanese...
