What makes good revision?

I have my exam coming up for the end of my nursing studies, and needless to say i'm flogging a dead horse. Nothing i'm learning/reading is saying in.
I have wrote reams of pages of notes and bullet points but i just can't get it into any order.

Help!!!!!! Please.

Are you any good at remembering lyrics from songs? I learn lyrics really easily so usually put my notes to a tune. This is useful if you want to remember something in order - although dont make the tune too complicated; sing it to twinkle twinkle little star or something.

Also try making brainstorms of different sections - nothing too complicated just a big bubble in the middle with the main topic title and then all the key bits going round. try sticking them on the wall or behind doors that way your brain will take a snap shot of it everytime you move rooms (it's best to stick it on the back of your bathroom door so you can look at it while you do your business and have nothing else to do - but it depends who you live with whether theyre happy with this!)

And although its really cliche and not very helpful - try not to panic. Have a nice hot choccie at the same and every half hour give yourself a treat like a mini chocolate or a biccie.

okay, let me be the first to say that panicking is not going to help you at all.
secondly, why waste your time writing down notes that you will not refer to? well, there can be an easier solution.
since this is nursing that you are studying, it helps to be a little bit practical about what you are looking for.
now, you have been trying to get your notes in order? not the way to do it, my friend. get some serious help from either your teachers or people who are better at this than you are. come on, swallow the pride and gun it!!
