I want to become a doctor and thought i saw one of those things on tv where you can study at home, do you?

know which one it was? My friend said i need to see one. But I really don't want to be a dental assistant or security guard, but a doctor meets a lot of nurses and drives a big car.

There's a tv deal on right now where you can get a degree, if you let them finance it in 90 days, ok that's out of the way.

Also I forgot thin of all the money you would see if you get sick, just see yourself and wouldn't have to pay. i could also wear a button that states, "I'm a doctor, trust me".

OK Marcus Welby!!!! l.o.l. I think you should go the tvangelist route!!! you ask alot of questions on this forum, and I think you would make a great preacher on t.v. just stay away from little jimmy baker!!!! l.o.l.

want to be a doctor and study from home.
lol.., Docs are practical .., get out of your home and go some college

To become a doctor, you will need 4 years of real college before you even start medical school. Pretty sure there are no study at home programs that would be the requirements.

thanks for giggles , today.
doctors spend year near decades in colleges and hospitals getting education at a cost of 75000$ and up.

"Aim high!" I always say. I'm sure that though it might take a few months more to become a doctor than a security guard through one of those online schools, it will pay off for you in wimmins and big cars. I, myself, am going to become a nuclear scientist through a 4 month correspondence course. They say I will be able to sell my services to "the highest bidder" on the world market for professionals with a "firm understanding" of the vagaries of "unstable and tremendously dangerous" nuclear materials... (Sounds like I could make at LEAST minimum wage doing that, don't it?)

Maybe if I should come down with radiation poisoning, and you aren't too big of a big shot to give outstanding, cutting edge medical treatment to an ol' pal, you can hook me up with some bandages and iodine and other stuff.

Try the International Correspondence Schools, Doc in a Box Course*! You too can be an MD. We provide a degree credentialed by the ics board of ICS schools credentialling agency. It includes all the key DVD recordings of Quincy, ME; Doogie Howser, MD; Marcus Welby, and House. Also included are 4 (slightly used) copies of Penthouse magazine for anatomy study.

Order today... Easy monthly payments with your credit card!

*Note - this course may not be accepted by all state or national medical boards. Most previous graduates, though being given our CERTIFIED diploma (on real parchment-look paper) have yet to be given admission to a residency program or internship.

Sorry! I'm not sure if this question is serious or not...but in case it is...

I hate to tell you this, but if you have not figured out that there is NO way to become a doctor via "home study", I sadly don't think you have what it takes to become a doctor in the first place.

Would YOU want to be operated on by a doctor who received his education via an audio CD? But....

If you want, you should apply to take "MEDICAL ASSISTING" courses at the local college. Home study schools DO offer similar courses, but almost no employer will hire you with a home based degree from any of these "schools". Home study is fine if you want to be a wedding planner, but not for working in a doctor's office or hospital. 95% of those courses lead to nothing but wasted cash.

If you like the Medical Assisting, look into taking some biology, math, chemistry, and physics courses at the local university. If you do well in them, you can consider enrolling full time into a pre-med or nursing program (Physician's Assistant is another option). Then you'll meet lots of hot sexy nurses and drive a big car. ;)

Most medical schools require a 3 or 4 year undergrad degree (in Canada we have 3 year degrees) plus 4 more years of study minimum. If you're smart, it certainly can't hurt to try. I know someone that entered medical school at age 51 (!).

Good luck!

P.S. You could always become a "Doctor of Looove" (say it like Barry White would..). That requires slightly less stringent credentials, but gets just as much respect from the ladies....;)

Far-Out!!!! [I feel yer sarcasm]

Now, I might be hesitant to become your patient, but, then, I'm scared of EVERYTHING! Even that spam-mailer insisting we financially resurrect Enron from the ashes.

Whew! What'll I be scared of next? "Gasoline-from-water secret zillionaires"? HAHA! God forbid it.

I say, go for it! Doctors drive really pricey buggies (though my cousin is a surgeon with student-loan bills that leave no room in the budget for food, much less a beemer...bummer!) and they fire up those nurses, too!

Seriously, (and, yes [duh] I grasped the sarcasm with "study at home") whether we target unethical schemers starting bogus schools to bilk tax-funded money for education, poorly trained 'medical' personnel putting our loved-ones at risk or the system in general for allowing the wool to drift between our eyes and the obvious truth (ahem: agenda-driven media!), our energies to protect the obvious are NOT expended in vain.

And a little sarcasm in the mix only adds spice. So be it. So, keep doin' it!.
