I'm American Citizen studying nursing in the Philippines, what are my requirements in taking NCLEX in New York

I guess it would be contact the NCLEX people, let them know you are taking it. Pay the fees associated with that, book a hotel in NY get a plane ticket, pack your things, get on a plane. Land at JFK go threw customs, collect your baggage. It will be helpful to rent a car, drive to your hotel. Check into your hotel, review some notes. Take a shower and relax in one of those nice fresh linen bathrobes. Wake up , eat something, drive the car to the test. Take the test, and do whatever you wish. I suggest buy a beer! Because after all of that you probably deserve it.

I think I cant answer this but what Im tryin to ask is why did you take up nursing here.
