For the Why do you want to be a nurse ( im guessing they will ask that ) I think I am going to say "I have always admired and respected nurses and feel that I have the qualities which are required to be one- patience, ability to work in a team, ability to work on your own" and then give examples, is that ok or should i expand? That sounds great! It shows that you have thought about your career choice, and now why you personally are attracted to this field. |

OMG! I have the best idea for you. I was in a similar situation last year. I really needed a change and I wanted to get away from the US for a while. Bad break-up...I decided to take a TEFL course ... ... A reasonable price is $250 a month. You can get this through your school most easily, and cheaper, too. Being an international student, most US health carriers are NOT going to want to cover you.... We need more nurses welcome aboard! ...absolutely ! ...ur job is ALWAYS in demand.. u don't have to take the first job there is.. u can look and pick the one u really want.. U can continue to move up education wise all the way to RNP..who can giv... I guess it would be contact the NCLEX people, let them know you are taking it. Pay the fees associated with that, book a hotel in NY get a plane ticket, pack your things, get on a plane. Land at JF...
