Vet nursing....?

Im from Australia and Im thinking of getting into vet nursing. (Im currently studying nursing at uni but Im thinking of a change). Can anyone whose worked in this field tell me more about it and how I can get into it?
Thanks!

Im also from Australia ! I am in the same situation as you but I want to change from engineering to do it. Depending on where you are, the University of QLD (UQ) has animal science degrees and pretty much is the only place in QLD that has those sort of degrees. There are other unis that have vet but dont really have anything else. However, if you do it through tafe you will have your qulifications much quicker and be able to work at the same time so a uni degree seems a waste of time for this profession. Since you studied nursing, you may b able to get credit transfer for some of the science subjetcts. I have looked into it so much because I am doubting engineering so much because since I was 3 i was always going to be a vet or some job that involves animals and only changed my mind at the very last second literally!!!! Its driving me crazy and even to a breakdown

I got into the field by working at the humane society first then moved on to Veterinary Clinics and Hospitals.
I highly recommend volunteering at a Vet Clinic or shelter before you make the switch, just to make sure it is absolutely what you want to do.
I love what I do, it's very fulfilling.
I like to work at a general practice. General practices allow you to do a whole range of things, lab tests, radiology, dental cleaning, surgical prep and assistance, and seeing regular patients for check ups and vaccines. It can be a sad job at times but I love it.
