Could my past medical history affect my Nursing application UK only? |
I am 26 and applying to uni to study nursing. I was wondering if my medical history will affect it as in my late teens and early 20's i suffered from depression due to my parents sepperation and even at one point took an overdose. This was 5 years ago now but I am hoping it wont have any affect on my application as I no longer suffer from depression etc. I don't think this should affect your job application at all, they are not allowed to not employ you due to your illness 5 years ago, it would be discrimination against you. If they don't give you the job due to your past record then I would personally take it further, good luck anyway! It should not but they might bring it up.Good Luck |
