Help! I studied nursing abroad and I was wondering what the process is like to emigrate to the US?

Has anyone gone through this? WHat is the process like? do you have to study all over again to practice nursing? WHere can I get more information?

Take the CGFNS exam and English proficiency exam BEFORE coming to the United States. If you pass you'll be eligible for a nursing license here without going back to school.

The immigration process, I am not sure of. But you will have to pass boards in whatever state you take a job in :)

At one time our local hospital provided housing to Philippine Nurses...who worked for about half the cost of U.S. nurses, during our last major shortage.
