Currently studing to become a social worker and is in my 2 yr. want to stop and study nursing something i want |
Always wanted to be a nurse but, somewhere down the line I had the bright idea of becoming a social worker. Their are 2 many obstacles and i don't have time for my children. what should I do? Only you can decide what you want to do, but i can tell you that i am going to be attending drexel university in the fall, to study nursing (B.S.N/M.S.N Dual Degree). From what i have seen, nursing is an extrememly rewarding field, with so many opportunities. Hospitals are hurting for them, and it is not difficult at all to find a job. You can do everything from becoming an LPN, RN, and then going back to school to become an advanced practice nurse. I hope i dont get bashed from someone for saying this, but from what i have seen, there are so many more opportunities for a career in nursing as opposed to social work. Get job descriptions and such off of www.salary.com. Nursing also offeres great flexibility with regards to scheduling. Good luck with whatever you choose! Put your children first. If you want to be a nurse and it would allow you more time with your kids then go for it. |
