Can I Study Nursing even if I have diabetes? I am from the Philippines.?

Can I Study Nursing even if I have diabetes? I am from the Philippines.?

Yes....There are so many Nursing schools here in the Philippines to choose from...There is no law imposing that students w/ diabetes can't study any course, specifically BS Nursing

Even the best schools in nursing like University of the Philippines in Manila accept any students as long as they are physically fit, thus can be academically competent even he/she has a certain disease/disorder. ANd of course should passed the UPCAT exam

Of course.

Of course you can still study nursing! My mom's a nurse, and a few of her co-workers have diabetes.

Yes, people cant discriminate if you have diabetes. If anything, you know more than anyone else because of your condition.

yes ofcourse.why not.there is not link between your diabetes an you to study nursing.if you want to keep you sugar level down then you need toi walk a lot.atleast 4km/day.

Absolutely.

Diabetes is something that will never go away. It has no cure, BUT it can be treated and controlled. For as long as you take care of your diet and follow your physician's instructions well, you can be whatever you want to be.

Yes, u can get cured too, try Acupuncture/SUJOK or eastern medicines/ Unani.
it is not a disease but a condition for better life standard.

of course..diabetes doesnt stop u from achieving ur goals! just keep it regulated ..

Of course you can. having an ailment does not hinder you from becoming a nurse. as long as you take good care of yourself and you know when u have hypoglycemic episodes. Being a nursing student in the Philippines is tedious and tough. Trust me I come from there (but now living abroad). Just let your CI (clinical instructors) and fellow students about your condition, I am sure they are more welcome to support you.

Diabetes should not limit you studying nursing. It will help you understand patients w/ Diabetes, and better take care of them. Good luck!

yes! of course, your diabetes shouldn't hold you back from anything! (except pigging out on junk food w/out a shot lol) but there are many nurses, surgeons even with diabetes!
