Why do I keep getting boils everywhere?

I have this bump on the inside of my left arm, near the part where the nurse draws blood from, & it's sitff & painful. A few days ago, I squeezed it, & greenish gray pus came out. It was near my vein. I know I shouldn't be squeezing it, but it was hurting too bad. The swelling went down a bit, but it's still knotty & hard. I'm afraid that if I squeeze it any more, I might pop a blood vessel.

Also, I have 2 boils under my right armpit. 1 is a regular boil & the other is a boil, too, but it's a HUGE knot. VERY big. Seems like 4 or 5 boils in one, right next to the regular boil. Hot compresses won't help. I'm afraid to go to the doctor because my twin sister had the same problem & had a bad experience with the little surgical operation she had. Some people said the boils mean that my body is fighting off an infection, & that I have staph bacteria. I can't go without deodorant because I can't stand feeling wet & musty (funky).

Sorry, to tell you this but you are going to have to go to the doctor.I had 2 on my back they were so close i thought it was one.The cut it open drain it then stuff it with gauge.I had to go back every 2 days so they could pull some out and cut it. It took about 2wks to heal. Then they gave me a shot in my leg that felt like they poured straight acid in it.I cried while I got the shot and after. I don't know what was worse. The boil or the shot.I forgot to mention after they cut you open they use medical scissors to open it up.I hollered like H***.That was 3yrs ago the spot looks nasty because the skin never grew right. That spot is still tender.

I'm nurse and I'm advising you to go and see your Doctor ASAP. You indeed have some type of infection in your system and I don't need to tell you how extremely dangerous this is. A young man had a large boil on his stomach...finally decided to come to the ER. Was admitted with plans of being operated on the next morning to clean it out and start a treatment of antibiotics. Sad to say he didn't even make it through the night. The infection inside the boil spread throughout his system and he became septic. He was 33 years old!!! You are playing a dangerous game and you are going to end up losing. Please go and get some help. take care of yourself.

You really should go see a doctor... yea i understand your sister had a bad experience, but the same thing can't go wrong twice. Also, if it turns out that you do have staph, you want to cure it before it gets worse.

They sell a tube of cream called a "Drawing Salve" that is used to bring a boil to a head and allow it to drain.

It is black and tar like but my father uses it when he gets a boil on his back-side...

His are as bad as your super big one sounds... When his finally breaks he says it is like having a mini-abortion...

Call up a few local pharmacies and ask them to look and see if they sell a product called a "Drawing Salve". Not all pharmacies carry it and I had to go to 3 wallgreens before I found it so calling around will save you a lot of troubles.

Here is a link to the Dogpile.com Search for "Drawing Salve" Check it out and you will be able to see what I'm talking about...

Please go to the MD. It may overactive sweat glands, and this is fairly common, although they may perform surgery to correct it, it's mild.

It may be an infection that you just aren't treating correctly, and may need stronger antibiotics.

It may be staph infection, and they may look like boils usually redder, and these are highly contagious, and will come on different parts of the body that are touched. You will antibiotics and MD care after to make sure that it goes away.
