Questions about the Abortion Pill (RU486) Please help if you have had any experience with this pill???

I recently found out I was pregnant, I have been taking birthcontrol for two years and never changed anything. So when we found out we were shocked. We decided that it wasnt the right time and since I was only a couple of weeks I decided to take the RU486 instead of having a surgical abortion. So I took all of the pills as the dr said. I never saw anything pass except just regular bleeding. Today I decided to take a pregnancy test, and it came out positive. What do I do now? The dr. said it might not work and they can give me another set of pills or I can have a surgical procedure. I am terrified of the surgical procedure and would rather do the pills again. Will it work the 2nd time? Am I going to cause problems for me having kids in the future? What do I need to do? The nurse isnt answering the phone so I cant talk to them until monday morning. Please help.

You should go to the hospital and tell them that you took the pills as directed but only had bleeding with no tissue. Let them know that there was no answer when you tried to call your doctors office. They will probably do an ultrasound to see if anything passed and if it didnt then they can give you another set of the pills.

Dont listen to people who put you down about having an abortion. If its the right choice for you then you have EVERY right to do it. If people put you down about it just tell them to find a non-biased creditable website.

If you need anyone to talk to about abortion or pregnancy or anything you can email me at halfLaydee_halfThug@yahoo.com

i would love to help.

You know what, if that pill doesn't kill your baby, you may wind up with a child with birth defects.

Just saying.

Your very selfish, did you ever think maybe the baby in your body is fighting for its life? Did you ever think that maybe your suppose to have this baby? Your sad very sad

Go to the Emergency Room, see what they have to say.

I haven't taken it, but I know someone who has. She said the cramps hurt so badly she couldn't do anything. Call planned parenthood or local teen clinic, they'll be able to tell you all about the abortion pill. Goodluck

Those pills only prevent the egg form attaching to the lining of your uterus. If the fertilized egg was already attached to lining of your uterus then it may not work at all. These pills do not cause you to spontaneously miscarry. I am not aware of the possible side effects that a second dose would have on a child. For that you would need to go to a doctor. Every woman's body is different so what works for one may not work for another. I do not believe that it will cause any problems pertaining to you being able to have a healthy pregnancy later on.

you must be fertile mrytle!!!...I guess you will have to have the baby sucked out of you...maybe the baby was meant to be!!!Have you thought of that???...If you don't care, just kill it, right?

Hi. I took the pills. But my doctor adviced me to go for a blood test. It is true what they say about the pregnancy hormone in your system, it takes a little longer it to pass through. Don't stress about what the other people say. They don't know you, your circumstances or anything else. It was your choice and your right to make that decision.
My doctor also advised me to look out for certain symptoms. A smelly discharge, cramps and a flu like feeling and fever. I suggest that if any of those occur contact your doctor. My advise if the pill did not work the first time, rather go for rhe surgical procedure. Goodluck
