Anyone out there a scrub (surgical) nurse?

Can you tell me about your job? Im thinking about the different careers I may want to have when I get older (Im a Junior) and Im interested in the health field but Im not totally sure about which specialty. Thanks for your help :)

Been there and done that. A scrub nurse is one who passes instruments to the surgeon during an operation - stands right beside the doctor to be able to see the operation clearly and be able to pass the proper instruments in a timely fashion.
The other major nursing job in the operating room is that of curculating nurse - the one that makes sure the scrub has the appropriate instruments to pass to the surgeon and can fetch instruments, medicines, sterile drapes and the like that may be needed in addition to those ordinarily provided for the operation.
Each job requires that you have your nursing degree or diploma. All Registered Nurses have to train in the O.R. in addition to all the other hospital areas. LPNs can also work in the O.R. but beyond their basic schooling, their training in OR is on-the-job. Far fewer LPNs get to work the OR than RNs. I'd suggest getting your RN degree rather than an LPN certificate.
