What are the diffrent levels of nursing or whats the name of a surgical nurse?

A surgical nurse who scrubs into the sterile field and assists the surgeon is a scrub nurse, a job usually done by a surgical technician rather than a nurse. A nurse who does not scrub in, but who monitors the patient and helps with supplies and assists in the non-sterile field is called a circulating nurse. A circulating nurse is usually an RN.

You can be a nurses aid, LPN(Lisenced Practical Nurse), Registered Nurse or Nurse practitioner.

a surgical nurse is any RN who became certified. They have to take a test and have anywhere between 2-6 years of experience. The sad thing is that surgical assistance can do the same thing if a doctor delegates that to them. some surgical assistances only have a highschool diploma with on the job training or a six month certificate program.

Nurse's aide, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Bachelor's of Science Nursing, Nurse Practicioner. In surgery there are Nurse Anesthetists, Rotating Nurses, Scrub Nurses. To become an NA, you need to be an RN first, and then go to school for anesthesia. You can also specialize in just about any field of medicine. To actually "nurse" these days, you need to have at least an RN. Many places are looking for NP's and BSN's now. Also as an RN you can work as a trauma/EMT on Life Flight Helicoptors.
