How well is the pay for nursing.. and how can i become a surgical nurse ???

Nursing can pay great or decent depending on the degree type and location and specialty.
LPN's can range from $13-$17 hourly and RN's from $19-$24 hourly TO START. This is what I have seen in the Midwest where I am an RN, BSN in a former Management position. Most surgical specialties will require an RN degree with BSN preferred, if you go to nursing school, let your clinical instructors know of your interest and perhaps you could set up to do your practicum (you act like a nurse while someone "shadows" you right before you graduate) in a surgical setting. The best advice is to get some good MED-SURG (basic hosptial floor) experience and after 1-2 years, you could apply for a surgical position in the hospital you work for. Good Luck

Nursing pays well, but you need a college degree with a major in Nursing and an R.N. license.

the pay is really really good at least 25 an hour

Here's a website for general career info: www.bls.gov/oco and search 'registered nurse' or such.

For US colleges: www.utexas.edu/world/univ

I dont know much about how much they should pay you but i think about $1800 a week this is because you are doing a very dangurous job and if y want 2 become a surgical nurse study and never give up your dream.Good luck and i hope y become a surgical nurse.

Nurses are in high demand, the pay is different from state to state. You would have to go to nursing school and get a degree.

Nursing. pays fairly well depending on where you work.Need a college degree with a BS in nursing just to start.Getting into the OR can be tough as most OR nurses keep their jobs as they are limited.Try working on a floor specifically for surgical pts, However ,now that day surgery is so common there are not many. You can look into openings in large city hospitals where the pay is best.

It depends on what level of Nursing you are talking about. For a RN it can be quite good, an EN or an EEN it is substantially lower, and an AIN cert 3 is awful.
I nurse in a Surgical unit and it is a very interesting area. Look up the area health web site for employment opportunity's.

they make good money - varies by where you live - go to nursing school, then decide which specialty you want to go into

You need to be an RN to make good money in nursing. Once you have graduated you need to work for a couple of years at a hospital to get experience. Once a job in the OR opens up they will train you like an internship. It's the same with ER and ICU. All the critical care areas want you to be competent have proven yourself before they will spend the time training you on that next level. While in school you will rotate through different areas of the hospital and then you can decide what you like best. The pay for a new grad RN is around $25/hour in a major city.
