Filipino Women?

I am an Englishman married to a Filipino, i met her here in the U.K where she was working as a nurse. When we met she had already been in U.K long enough to get her citizenship on her own, she did not need to marry me to get it. I have been to the Philippines now several times, what i want to know is why do Filipinos still treat her like a mail order bride?????. I am 44 and she is 51.
Why also are Filipino women the most beautiful minded women in the world, and i have travelled the world in my lifetime.

They are treating her as mail-order-bride because that thing is rampant in the foreign scene. Plus everybody is judgmental.

My cousin has the same experience like you and it's really irritating them But they have to explain her roots over and over again or else people will think she's the a cheap girl.

Good for you if u think Filipino women are the most "beautiful-minded" in the world because ur wife must be taking care of you to death.

Your generalizing, I'm happy for you that she is the one for you, but I am sure there is someone that will argue that point.

She is most likely treated like a mail order bride because the Philippines is one of the highest exporters of women as sex slaves and mail order brides. There are many Filipinas in America and Europe who actually ARE married to white men because they were purchased and forced to do so. Typically, these women never talk about the real reasons they were married, so outsiders can only speculate.

Possibly, you like Filipinas so much because you associate the Philippines with your wife, whom you love very much. Who knows? The important thing is that you found someone you love.

Because those people are ignorant & jealous.

But the fact that mail order bride scheme may still be operating in the Philippines have put the misconception on the Filipino men's mind that every woman who has married a foreigner has done so through the mail order bride scheme. The Filipinos are now scattered to every nook and country of world and has contributed their talents they have acquired in their home country being as nurses, entertainers, engineers, seamen, construction workers and what have you. They have gained the trust and confidence of their employers because of their honesty, integrity and dedication to work. I hope that these misconceptions among Filipino men will not degrade in any way the status of those who have already established themselves in the society that they long to be. I wish you and your Filipina wife the best of life and happiness.

Filipinos treat her as such because it is popular of Filipinos who are married to foreigners to have married this way. I said popular because I am pretty not a majority of us marry this way and yet in our country it seems as though we (Filipinos) tend to look more towards the bad things than the good and mail order does not necessarily mean that it is a good thing.

Filipinos in general are very, very concerned about what others think and they LOVE to gossip. I've been in Manila for over 2 years now, and the gossiping and worrying about what everyone else thinks has cost me 2 relationships. Its unbelievabe how they generalize about foreigners as well - they can't differentiate between western "society dropouts" who go to Angeles and certain other spots, and people who have proper jobs / residence permits, etc.

i`m a filipina and i know that the philippines is a poor country. some people are even so poor that they will even sleep with other people and stuff like that to get money. i know you love your wife but foreigners treat some of the filipina women like sex toys. the foreigners know that some filipinas will do anything for money so they pay them and pay them for sex and stuff so maybe thats why. just ignore that. it`ll blow over. just know to never treat your wife like a sex toy and treat her with respect. because if you dont thats just a disgrace to us. good luck!

My sympathies friend, but I agree with Rabbityama. Despite recent economic progress, the Philippines is still considered as one of Asia's poorest countries. It is also one of the biggest centers of human trafficking. Maybe you just need a little heads up on the current situations and issues plaguing our country. Try asking your wife or her relatives about the current situation here for more information.

Filipino women are FILIPINA. Were ever you are in the World there are going to be people who treat there spouses like that it's just the nature of evil men to act this way to all women. I think it stinks too. I want to pay filipina whores to quit there jobs and train for a better life. I want to help get rid of the filth of the world. I hope to one day marry a Clean filipina.

first of all,, filipinos tend to gossip a lot (no offense to anyone)

most filipinos dream of going abroad... and mostly,, this can be achieved by marrying a foreigner. the fact that your wife is older than you may have started the problem... some filipinos are not that comffortable with women older than men in a relationship.

What made you conclude that she was treated like a mail order bride? Did you get funny glances at the mall? Don't mind those nosy people - they have nothing else to do but speculate. Why not shock them by being affectionate in public? That should embarass them enough to look away - then laugh to your heart's content. It's silly, really. Take good care of your bride - she is used to being cossetted and spoiled by her guys. They respect her opinion and appreciate her efforts.
