Ok, NDE's are said to happen?

because of oxygen deprivation and lack of blood flow to the brain, which causes neurons to fire randomly and all at once, which explains the visions of ones life events, and seeing light.....but how would this be

explained: In several cases, the individual (these are OBE's, out of body experiences) travels out of body and views the hospital from above, and sees a shoe on the roof, they tell the nurse, doctor or whoever...and they confirm it..Another example is, they travel through other parts of the hospital, and describe what was happening in other rooms on another floor, or where ever...how?

That's what I believe, Wholy. There is a consciousness independent of the body

There was an interesting documentary on this the other night. A woman was deliberately 'put to death' for a medical procedure, her body temperature was lowered drastically, and oxygen was administered to avoid brain damage.
Anyway, long story short, all the conditions that medical science says causes the NDE experience were prevented in her case.
She had an awesome experience, came back and described other rooms, what was said, the procedures used on her while she was unconscious, the tools used, and she recalled even the swear words when things went wrong. Of course she could have heard her attendants, but the interesting part was her accurate description of what was going on in other locales at the time she was 'unconscious'. Her event was officially recorded by the medical staff, and is being studied.
The spirit can travel independent of the body?
