Going on a road trip with a 4 month old, need help packing the bags. Any suggestions?

She is nursing, do I bother with packing extra milk & the pump? How do I pack her clothes, we'll be gone for around 14 days and driving through multiple climates, hope to stop somewhere to do laundry.
I've got a travel swing, pack n play and toys for the carseat...am I missing anything?

The younger they are when you travel, the better. They aren't as anxious about getting out and can handle being contained a little better.

It may sound extreme, but we bought one of those portable DVD players and it has been a savior on previous road trips. Obvious kids that age go though tons of clothes, so I'd bring plenty of bibs and things like that.

I would take your pump and extra milk, clothes for all climates. Depending on whether you are going to extremely warm areas or extremely cold areas you should pack accordingly. I would pack some play toys such as rattles, squeaking toys. At 4 months she probably still sleep for most of the trip. Just make sure you have the items that you use on a daily basis and pack extra from there. You should also pack a thermometer, baby tylenol, just in case she is to come down with anything. Sometimes that happens at the worst times.

When we went on a 22 hour drive for 2 weeks to Montana last year (July 4th) with our 4 month old we brought literally everything we could possibly need. We brought her lots of clothes, diapers etc.

We did bring the pump and thank GOODNESS we did. There were a few times I needed to pump to relieve pressure. She slept a lot more being on the road then expected.. so I needed some relief especially late night in the hotels and such. I didn't bring extra milk.. because pumping allowed me to have a bottle on hand.

It would probably be a good idea to pack extra milk, bottles and the pump because you never know if your going to need it. As for the clothes i suggest packing some jackets, some outfits for cold and hot weather, make sure you bring alot of bibs, pacifier in case she gets cranky. Baby tylenol in case she gets sick, Gas drops. I suggest going through everything and if you see something that your not sure if you would use or not bring it anyways just to be safe. If you have a portable dvd player maybe think about bringing somethin like that, it worked wonders for my daughter when she was around that age.

PATIENCE!!!!HAVE FUN
