Does having an approved GC (nurse visa category in retrogression) disqualify me from applying for H1?

I have my family GC application approved by USCIS. But I cannot travel since the nurse visa category is currently under retrogression.

Can I apply for H1?

no. you can't apply for H1 visa yourself. you need a US employer to sponsor your H1 visa.

no, you can only apply for 1 visa at the time

and also, they dont give H1B visas to nurses (if thats what you are), those visas are for jobs that require a bachelors degree and nursing jobs dont demand a bachelors degree (an associates degree is sufficient)
