Does growing up with a nanny have an effect on kids?

on this tv show i saw it said tht growing up with a nanny and not with your parents can have a serious effect on your kids. well i grew up with a nanny because my mom was a traveling nurse and my dad was constantly away on business trips. i dont think that theres anything wrong with me but i do wish that my parents were around more (im 14) but today they are always home more often sooo..what do you think?
